The Bluffton Girls Cross Country team finished 3rd in Saturday’s South Adams Invitational with 105 points. The team was led by sophomore Leslie Sprankes in 9th place overall with a time of 22:26. Second for the tigers was junior Elayna Kitt in 18th place and a time of 23:38, followed by junior Alysha Robles in 25th at 24:44, freshman Annika Linderwell 26th at 24:48, and Katie Bultemeier in 44th at 26:21. Senior Aubrey Wenger was 62nd at 28:13 and junior Emily Hiday was 64th at 28:48. The team standings were (1) South Adams 42, (2) Woodlan 97, (3) Bluffton 105, (4) Heritage 107, (5) Adams Central 126, (6) Blackford 148, (7) WInchester (177), (8) Lincoln 182, (9) Monroe Central (187), (10) Southern Wells 204. Cantebury, Northfiled, Lakewood, and Union City participated but did not score as a team. The girls run in the New Haven Invitational next Saturday.
