The Bluffton Varisty Boys’ Cross Country team once again ran its best race of the season by posting a team time of 1:33:58.9 to finish in fourth place at the Allen County Athletic Conference Invitational. The Tigers scored 90 points on the day to finish in fourth place.
Senior Aaron Carnall led the pride of Tigers with a season-best time of 17:40.5. He finished in fourth place and took home 1st-Team All-ACAC honors.
Sophomore Markis Crosbie also achieved all-conference recognition as he took 11th-place to make 2nd-Team All-ACAC. He once again set a new personal record at 18:27.1.
For the first time in his career, junior Grant Bultemeier ran under 19 minutes with a time of 18:52.4. He finished in 19th place.
Junior Brody Yergler (20:22.5), sophomores Bryson Mayer (19:33.7) and Andrew Brown (20:05.9), and freshmen Sam Baumgartner (19:24.9) and Austin Rupel (23:52.1) also recorded new personal records on the race.
The next race for Bluffton is the IHSAA Sectional at Bellmont High School on Saturday, October 12.
