The Bluffton boys’ cross country team finished in 7th place out of 11 teams at the Norwell Cross Country Invitational. The Tigers recorded a team time of 1:41:35. The mark is better than all but one race from last season which was 1:39:20 from the ACAC Invite late in the season.
The top finisher for Bluffton was senior Aaron Carnall. He placed 23rd with a time of 18:55.8. Junior Grant Bultermeier, sophomore Markis Crosbie, and freshmen Sam Baumgartner and Lucas Grady rounded out the top five scorers. Sophomore Bryson Mayer and junior Brody Yergler completed the top seven positions.
Crosbie and fellow sophomore Andrew Brown each set a new personal record at the event. Markis dropped six seconds with a time of 20:20.1 while Andrew cut over two minutes off at 23:16.1.
The next race for the Tigers is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27 for the Bellmont Invitational starting at 5:30 PM.
