The Bluffton boys’ cross country team placed fourth at the 2019 Bi-County Conditioner hosted by South Adams High School.
Leading the Tigers was the pair of senior Aaron Carnall and sophomore Markis Crosbie as they finished in eighth place with a time of 35:20.9. The team of freshman Sam Baumgartner and junior Grant Bultemeier followed in 15th at 38:41.0 while sophomore Bryson Mayer and freshman Lucas Grady were not far behind in 17th place. They recorded a time of 39:16.3. The cumulative team time for the event was 1:53:18.3.
Freshman Austin Davis and junior Brody Yergler combined for a time of 46:11.6. Rounding out the race for Bluffton was the tandem of freshman Austin Rupel and sophomore Andrew Brown at 47:18.7.
The Bi-County Conditioner is an alternative styled race as relay teams of two runners combine for six miles.
The next race for the Tigers is scheduled for Saturday, September 7 at the Manchester Invitational. The boys are scheduled to begin running at 10:30 AM in North Manchester.
