The Bluffton Tigers Varsity Baseball team fell 4-2 to Blackford on Thursday despite out-hitting them seven to two.
The Tigers got things moving in the first inning. Clayton Thompson singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the second inning, Blackford tied things up at one when Dalton Willmann doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Blackford pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning.
Nick Huffar started the game for Bluffton Tigers Varsity. He allowed two hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out three. Kolton Moore threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.
Bluffton totaled seven hits. Thompson and Moore all managed multiple hits for the Tigers. Thompson led Bluffton Tigers Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
