Early Lead For Bluffton Tigers Varsity Sets Stage For Victory Over Fort Wayne Canterbury
Bluffton Tigers Varsity defeated Fort Wayne Canterbury 12-1 thanks to a strong start. Bluffton Tigers Varsity scored on a groundout by Dylan King, a single by Cooper King, and a home run by Braxton Betancourt in the first inning.
Bluffton Tigers Varsity tallied five runs in the third inning. Bluffton Tigers Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Kaleb Riley, Cameron Nestleroad, and King.
Riley took the win for Bluffton Tigers Varsity. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four. King and Betancourt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Bailey took the loss for Fort Wayne Canterbury. The hurler surrendered five runs on five hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking one.
