The Bluffton Tigers Varsity baseball team took the lead late in the game in a 6-3 victory over Woodlan on Friday. The game was tied at three with Bluffton batting in the top of the seventh when Kaden Gerber doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Gavin King led things off on the hill for the Tigers. He allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Eli Inskeep went to the hill in the bottom of the third inning and was the eventual winning pitcher. He tossed five innings, allowing two hits, and two runs, striking out two and walking one.
Eli Inskeep helped his cause when he went yard in the fourth inning, driving in two runs.
Bluffton scattered eight hits in the game. Kaden Gerber and Gabe Eisenhut each managed two hits to lead the Tigers. Also reaching safely with a hit was Mason Heller, Everett Johnson, and Kaine Moore. Bluffton also swipped five bags on the night. Gerber led the attack with two stolen bases and Johnson, Inskeep, and King each stole one base apiece.
