The Bluffton Tigers Varsity baseball team took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Woodlan on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Bluffton batting in the bottom of the sixth when Brandon Lockwood tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Nick Huffar pitched Bluffton to victory. He went six innings, allowing one run on seven hits and striking out six. Kolton Moore threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen to earn the save for the Tigers.
The Tigers tallied 11 hits on the day. Eli Inskeep, Everett Johnson, and Mason Heller each managed multiple hits for the Tigers. Clayton Thompson and Gavin King also added a base hit apiece. Inskeep led the way with four hits in four at bats.
