Today the Boys swim/dive team finished their season with a 4th place finish overall and was full of excitement from start to finish. The headline from today is Junior Caleb Geimer punching his state ticket twice by winning the 200 IM in convincing fashion and the 100 Free.
There were multiple close finishes on the day starting with the 200 Medley Relay. Relay members include Caleb Geimer, Jack Ringger, Bryson Mayer, and Dylan King finished .15 of a second behind first place to take 2nd. That group dropped approximately 5 seconds from Thursday night to notch one of the fastest times in Bluffton history.
In the 200 Free Jack Ringger and Bryson Mayer both swam personal best times with Jack taking 9th and Bryson 11th.
All three Bluffton swimmers swam the 200 IM on Saturday with Caleb Geimer winning by over 8 seconds to punch his first state ticket this year. Teammates Colin Magdich and Dalton Rodgers both swam personal best times to take 9th and 10th respectfully.
Dylan King was the only Tigershark to swim the 50 free and notched a personal best time to take 6th.
Diving took place Friday night with Austin Davis taking 6th place.
Colin Magdich also swam the 100 Fly to go a personal best time and take 11th place.
In the 100 Free Caleb won his second event on the day to add another event at next weeks state meet. Teammate Dylan King swam another personal best time to place 15th.
Bryson Mayer represented the team in the 500 to take 7th.
The 200 Free Relay of Colin Magdich, Gavin Yergler, Bryson Mayer, and Dylan King placed 6th.
Freshman Dalton Rodgers was the only Tigershark in Backstroke to take 8th place with a personal best time.
Senior Jack Ringger was out touched by .07 of second and took 2nd place in Breaststroke.
The day ended with the 400 Free Relay of Jack Ringger, Colin Magdich, Dalton Rodgers, and Caleb Geimer took 6th.
Caleb Geimer will swim Friday afternoon at the State Meet in Indianapolis.
