The Bluffton Girls Cross Country Team finished 6th with 162 points at Saturday’s Sectional Meet. Although they narrowly missed being in the top 5 teams to advance to the Regional Meet, 3 runners did advance individually. Sophmore Leslie Sprankes finished 17th overall with a time of 21:70, freshman Annika Linderwell ran 22:09 to finish 25th, and Junior Alysha Robles finished 28th with a time of 22:24. Sprankles, Linderwell, and Robles will run this Saturday at Indiana Weslyan in the Regional competition. Junior Elayna Kitt and Sophmore Katie Bultemeier both came back strong from injuries to run season’s best time of 22:45 and 24:21 respectively to round out the lady tigers’ top 5, and help them secure 6th place overall. Junior, Emily Hiday ran her season’s best time of 25:26 and Senior Aubrey Wenger ran her final race as a tiger finishing in 27:22.
