Lady Tigers Victorious Over Northfield (8 - 3) Win Averi Petty collected four hits in four at bats, as Bluffton defeated Northfield in game one 8-3 on Saturday. Petty doubled in the second inning, and singled in the first, fourth, and fifth inning. Bluffton made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the second after Krista Blair hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Petty doubled, scoring two runs. A single by Tressa Renner extended the Lady Tiger lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning. Josie Phillippe earned the win for the Lady Tigers. The hurler surrendered four hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out seven. Bluffton tallied 12 hits in the game. Konley Ault, Marly Drayer, Sierra Holmes, Jillian Phillippe, Madyson Sonnigsen, and Isabella Stout each collected a hit. Renner and Petty each drove in two runs for the Lady Tigers. Stout stole two bases, with the team totaling five. Lady Tigers Take Game 2 Versus Northfield (11 - 0) Win Bluffton scored six runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Northfield 11-0 in game two on Saturday. Marly Drayer singled, scoring one run. Isabella Stout doubled, scoring two runs. Jillian Phillippe singled, scoring one run. Addison Kauffman singled, scoring one run. Averie Petty hit into a fielder's choice, but scored one run. Bluffton Lady Tigers were the first to get on the board in the second when Kauffman singled, scoring one run. Bluffton scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to left field by Madyson Sonnigsen. Sonnigsen earned the win for the Lady Tigers. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking none. Bluffton collected 11 hits in the game. Konley Ault, Sonnigsen, Stout, Phillippe, and Kauffman each collected tow hits for the Lady Tigers. Sonnigsen, Stout, and Phillippe each drove in two runs. Bluffton stole four bases in the game.
