Lady Tigers Victorious Over Adams Central (6 - 5) Win Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, Bluffton Lady Tigers still held off for a 6-5 victory on Tuesday. Adams Central Lady Jets closed the gap by scoring on a walk, single, and an error. A double by Jillian Phillippe put Bluffton on the board in the bottom of the first. Bluffton added one run in the third. Konley Ault hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 2-0. Madyson Sonnigsen earned the win for the Lady Tigers. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two. Brinlee Rinkenberger took the loss for the Lady Jets. Ault provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and let Bluffton with two RBIs. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Ault, Sonnigsen, Tressa Renner, Phillippe, and Averi Petty each collected one hit for Bluffton. Krista Blair led Bluffton with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Sonnigsen and Petty each stole multiple bases for Bluffton. The Lady Tigers stole 5 bases in the game.
