Lady Tigers JV Softball had trouble keeping up with Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles in a 10-0 loss on Wednesday. Columbia City got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kamryn Ault induced Marley Graber to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Layla Baker tripled, scoring two runs. Columbia City added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Erica Cullen singled to right field, Cora Davis singled to center field, Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers committed an error, and Chloe Korotney grounded out, each scoring one run. A double by Cullen, and a single by Davis helped Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles extend their early lead in the third. Davis earned the win for Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 10 and walking none. Ault took the loss for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher went four innings, allowing 10 runs (five earned) on nine hits, striking out seven and walking two. Kiah Craig led Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers with two hits in two at bats. Davis drove the middle of the lineup, leading Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Cullen, Davis, Baker, and Olive Hyde each collected two hits for Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles. Columbia City Junior Varsity Eagles didn't commit a single error in the field. Korotney had the most chances in the field with 11.
