Bluffton Boys Varsity vs Huntington North (126 - 57) Win For the second year in a row the boys swim/dive team finished the regular season undefeated. With a 126-57 victory over visiting Huntington North, the boys record improves to a perfect 17-0. Tonight the boys were led by two juniors Isaac Wheeler and Noah Brooks as well as Sophomore Rhett Gerber. All three of them tallied 12 points a piece. Even though those three were the only ones in double figures, it was a balanced attack with multiple guys scoring points for the team victory. Out of the 12 events the boys took the top spot in 11 of them. Event winners include: Medley Relay - Noah Brooks, Isaac Wheeler, Braden Lemler, Rhett Gerber 200 Free - Isaac Wheeler 200 IM - Rhett Gerber 50 Free - Athan King Diving - Blake Reinhard 100 Fly - Noah Brooks 100 Free - Wes Frettinger 400 Free - Lincoln Rodgers 200 Free Relay - Athan King, Rhett Gerber, Isaac Wheeler, Noah Brooks 100 Breaststroke - Anthony Hartman 400 Free Relay - Rhett Gerber, Griffin Linderwell, Isaac Wheeler, Noah Brooks With this being the last duel meet of the year the boys outscored their opponents 1627 - 569. The other three meets were championship meets where the team walked away victorious. We want to say a special shout-out to our four seniors that have given so much to this program and have etched their names in the brotherhood of Bluffton boys swim/dive team. Thank you Griffin Linderwell, Wes Frettinger, Anthony Hartman, and Grant Reifsteck. As the regular season is over, the attention now turns to prepare for the state tournament which starts next Thursday at Jay County at 5:30.
