The Bluffton 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team improved to an impressive 19-1 record with a 51-37 victory over Jay County in the second round of the ACAC Tournament. The Tigers delivered their best offensive performance of the season, fueled by a balanced scoring attack and sharp shooting. Bluffton was efficient from the field, going 11-for-19 from two-point range and an impressive 8-for-15 from beyond the arc. Vince Lambert led the charge from deep, knocking down four three-pointers on his way to 14 points. Maddox White also contributed 14 points, while Chase Kistler had a strong all-around game with 13 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Parker Christal added six points, and Wyatt Holmes rounded out the scoring with four. The Bluffton 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team will compete for their second straight ACAC Championship on Saturday morning at Southern Wells. In a tightly contested matchup, the Bluffton 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team came up just short against Jay County, falling 36-33 in a back-and-forth battle between two evenly matched teams. The Tigers wrapped up a strong season with a 16-4 record. Both teams shot 12-for-33 from the field, but Bluffton was unable to complete the comeback. After trailing 18-12 at halftime, the Tigers put together a strong third quarter to take a 28-24 lead heading into the fourth. However, a potential game-tying three-pointer in the final moments fell just short. Easton Schipper and Ryker Beste led the offense with nine points each, while Kole Kiefer added eight. Davin Drayer contributed seven points and pulled down seven rebounds.
