The Bluffton 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team secured a hard-fought 43-36 victory over a strong Jay County squad tonight. With this win, the Tigers improved to 8-1 overall and remain undefeated in ACAC play at 4-0. Chase Kistler led the charge offensively, pouring in 18 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, and grabbing a team-high 6 rebounds. Maddox White added 12 points, sinking two clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help seal the win. Wyatt Holmes contributed 10 points, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Parker Christal chipped in 2 points, while Vince Lambert rounded out the scoring with 1 point. Despite struggling from beyond the arc, hitting only 2-of-12 three-pointers the Tigers' offensive efficiency played a key role in the victory. They committed just 4 turnovers and shot 50% from the field as a team. The Bluffton 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team battled but fell short against a very talented Jay County team, losing 49-39. The Tigers’ record now stands at 6-3 overall and 3-1 in ACAC play. After a slow start that saw them trailing 13-4 early in the second quarter, the Tigers found their rhythm, rallying to tie the game at 17-17 by halftime. Bluffton trailed by just two points, 30-28, entering the fourth quarter, but Jay County’s decisive run midway through the final period secured the win for the visitors. Riker Beste paced the Tigers with 13 points, while Easton Schipper followed closely with 12. Davin Drayer added 7 points and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds. Kreigh Ault scored 6 points and dished out 3 assists, leading the team in that category, while Kole Kiefer contributed 1 point.
