The Lady Tigersharks wrapped up sectionals today finishing 9th overall. The girl's team might be small, but they showed up and competed hard over the course of sectionals. As a team, the ladies dropped a total of 37 seconds combined. The 200 Medley Relay team of Schmidt, Corkwell, Reed and Coyne dropped a total of 4 seconds and finished 7th place. Senior Zoey Schmidt took 16th place in the 200 Yard Freestyle, and 10th place in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Schmidt swam her last individual race as a TigerShark and earned her season best time while doing so. Freshman Ellie Coyne took 6th place in the 100 Yard Freestyle and was your Sectional Champion in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. By taking first place, Ellie will be advancing to State. Way to go Ellie! The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Zurcher, Coyne, Corkwell and Reed finished 8th place. These ladies dropped another 3 seconds from Thursday's night meet. Senior Lucia Corkwell finished 15th in the 200 IM and and 16th in the 100 Yard Butterfly. The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Fink, Hansen, Zurcher and Schmidt took 9th place overall. These ladies had the biggest time drop over the weekend dropping a total of 7 seconds. The ladies will be heading down to Indianapolis on Friday to cheer on Ellie Coyne at the state meet.
