Bluffton’s boys won the ACAC Meet on Saturday, Oct. 10 at South Adams, tying Jay County at 57 points and taking the title on the sixth-runner tiebreaker. Jay County had the faster top-five total of the two teams, but Bluffton’s depth made the difference. Senior Aidan Graves was third in 17:49.4, just 2.5 seconds off second, and sophomore Case Neuenschwander finished fifth in 17:53.8. Senior Ryan Schlagenhauf was 12th (18:32.6), junior Andy Baumgartner 16th (18:45.2), and senior Clayton Brubaker 21st (19:06.0). The four had been dealing with injuries, and all four ran in the scoring five. Bluffton’s five scorers finished within 77 seconds of each other. Junior Jimmy Borabo-Hower was the sixth runner in 24th (19:28.8), ahead of Jay County’s sixth runner in 40th, and that decided the title. Freshman Hudson Withers rounded out the Tigers’ top seven in 30th (19:46.9). Sophomore Rogan Johns finished 40th overall (20:40.7), and freshman Isaac Salazar-Garcia was 49th (23:00.3). 3rd- Aidan Graves 17:49.4 5th- Case Neuenschwander 17:53.8 12th- Ryan Schlagenhauf 18:32.6 16th- Andy Baumgartner 18:45.2 21st - Clayton Brubaker 19:06.0 24th- Jimmy Borabo-Hower 19:28.8 30th- Hudson Withers 19:46.9 40th- Rogan Johns 20:40.7 49th- Isaac Salazar-Garcia 23:00.3
