Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers defeated Manchester Junior Varsity Squires 9-3 on Tuesday thanks in part to five runs in the second inning. Maddie Narvaez drew a walk, scoring one run, Madeleine Morgan singled, scoring one run, a passed ball scored one run, Kamryn Ault was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and a passed ball scored one run. Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Aria Westlund grounded out, Gracie Jellison singled, and Kamryn Ault singled, each scoring one run. A single by Maddie Narvaez extended the Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers lead to 9-1 in the top of the third inning. Maddie Narvaez earned the win for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking four. Maddie Narvaez drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Khloe Gehrett stole two bases. Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game. Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game. Mckayla Dillon led Manchester Junior Varsity Squires with two hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Karsen Niccum stole three bases. Manchester Junior Varsity Squires stole four bases in the game.
