Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers could not keep up with Adams Central 6-1 on Monday. Adams Central got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Funk singled down the right field line, and Hamilton walked, each scoring one run. Adams Central added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hogan doubled down the right field line, Nussbaum walked, and Adams Central scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Adams Central added one run in the third. Jauregui grounded out, making the score 6-0. Hogan earned the win for Adams Central. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking six. Khloe Gehrett took the loss for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. The hurler went four innings, giving up six runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out six and walking five. Maddie Narvaez went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Maddie Narvaez, Aria Westlund, and Nattie Durst each collected one hit for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers worked the count all day, accumulating six walks. Hogan, Funk, Foster, and Weldy each collected one hit for Adams Central. Funk and Jauregui each drove in one run for Adams Central. Nussbaum paced Adams Central with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Adams Central turned two double plays in the game. Adams Central were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Hamilton made the most plays with four.
