Bluffton Varsity Tigers fell to Daleville Varsity Bronco 7-6 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Kyra Osborne singled, scoring one run. Bluffton Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting Daleville Varsity Bronco 12 to 11. Josie Phillippe and Konley Ault each collected three hits for Bluffton Varsity Tigers. Bluffton Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Kierstynn Reed singled, Macy Lemler hit a sacrifice fly, and Kamryn Ault grounded out, each scoring one run. Daleville Varsity Bronco jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Osborne singled , Breyanna Wagner grounded out, and Rylan Leonard singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Bluffton Varsity Tigers jumped back into the lead in the top of the sixth inning after Lemler grounded out, and Ault singled to right field, each scoring one run. Daleville Varsity Bronco took the lead, 7-6, in the bottom of the seventh thanks to singles by Lilly Malone, and Osborne. Leonard earned the win for Daleville Varsity Bronco. The starter surrendered 12 hits and six runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking none. Phillippe took the loss for Bluffton Varsity Tigers. The starter went six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits, striking out seven and walking six. Bluffton Varsity Tigers piled up 12 hits in the game. Lemler, the number nine hitter for Bluffton Varsity Tigers, led the way with two runs batted in. Reed and Krista Blair each collected multiple hits for Bluffton Varsity Tigers. Bluffton Varsity Tigers stole four bases in the game. Bluffton Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kenley Smith had the most chances in the field with eight. Daleville Varsity Bronco amassed 11 hits in the game. Leonard and Osborne each collected three hits for Daleville Varsity Bronco. Leonard and Osborne each drove in two runs for Daleville Varsity Bronco. Malone collected two hits for Daleville Varsity Bronco in four at bats. Daleville Varsity Bronco had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Liberty Clevenger and Alyssa Walbridge led the team with two bases on balls each.
