Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers had trouble keeping up with South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires in a 12-4 loss on Thursday. South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires got on the board in the top of the first inning after Karissa Zywicki grounded out, scoring one run, Abbie Conrad singled, scoring two runs, Lily Weigel scored after tagging up, and a steal of home scored one run. South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires scored five runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. Lydia Bauman singled, scoring one run, Zywicki tripled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, and Karlie Feaster drew a walk, scoring one run. South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Kennedy Bollenbacher singled , and Zywicki grounded out, each scoring one run. Liza Fonte earned the win for South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires. The pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Maddie Narvaez took the loss for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. The starter went three innings, giving up 12 runs (10 earned) on 12 hits, striking out three and walking four. Weigel stepped in the circle first for South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Narvaez drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-1 on the day. Khloe Gehrett, Narvaez, Aria Westlund, Morgan Fox, and Madeleine Morgan each collected one hit for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires collected 13 hits in the game. Zywicki drove the middle of the lineup, leading South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Conrad led South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires with three hits in three at bats. Bauman, Kendall Minger, and Fonte each collected multiple hits for South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires. Bauman paced South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing five walks for the game. South Adams Junior Varsity Starfires didn't commit a single error in the field. Haddasah McKinley had the most chances in the field with four.
