Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers Fall To Bellmont On Walk-Off

A walk-off left Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Bellmont on Wednesday. The game was tied at four in the top of the third when Brylie Buuck grounded out, scoring one run. Bellmont rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the first. Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after None induced Madeleine Morgan to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Maddie Narvaez doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Bellmont jumped back into the lead in the top of the third inning after Ella Schumm doubled to center field, and Buuck grounded out, each scoring one run. Khloe Gehrett stepped in the circle first for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. The starter surrendered four hits and five runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking two. Mia Fullenkamp led things off in the circle for Bellmont. The hurler gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Brynnlee Mygrant provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. Gehrett, Narvaez, and Aria Westlund each collected one hit for Bluffton Junior Varsity Tigers. Fullenkamp, Schumm, Braelyn Radecki, and Collins Vossier each collected one hit for Bellmont. Schumm and Vossier each drove in one run for Bellmont.
