Thursday night was not one to remember for the Bluffton Tigers. The Tigers looked good through the first 3 innings, but then it was AC that turned up the heat.
James started the night on the mound striking out the leadoff hitter. The next two batters popped up to Moore and Prater to making for a quick defensive inning. AC walked 3 of the first 4 batters for Bluffton. Powers, Pressler and King all had singles. The Tigers were able to record 4 runs on 3 hits in the 1st.
AC was not able to manufacture any runs in the 2nd. The 3 P’s of Prater, Pressler, and Powers turned a perfect double play for the first two outs of the inning.
Prater HBP, stolen base allowed her to score the only run for the Tigers in the 2nd. In the top of the 3rd, AC would score 3 on back to back homers from Koch and Oliver. Powers would score the Tiger’s last run on Wenger’s single in the bottom of the 3rd.
AC pulled away in the 4th inning, with 16 run on 14 hits.
James gave up 13 hits and 11 earned run and Cummins gave up 9 hits with 3 earned runs. Tigers lost their 3rd game of the week 22-6.
Bluffton JV lost 16-6.
